Mary has come storming into the competition, though Louise is still ahead. Not sure what happened to Robin though, with no entry for yesterday. It's still anyone's game though as big points can be won when you guess top entries.
Words from around the conference today:
#1 Bird
#2 Drop
#3 Opportunity
Bird = birds of a feather sessions I went to today (2 of them)
Drop = Drag and drop, which you should be able to do throughout NG
Opportunity = at one session on staff development they said they never used the word training, but always called it an opportunity.

#1 Bird...cage
#2 Drop...dead
#3 Job..Opportunity
#1 Bird...brain
#2 Drop...off
#3 Opportunity...knocks
(and I mean that most sincerely, folks!)
soooo tempted to go for bird dropping tho
I was away from a computer til very late last night sadly;
Bird..EYE
STEEP..Drop
GIVEN..Opportunity
Time for day 3 results.
Bird: top collocates were eye, weimar (weird, huh?), watching, species, watchers
Robin gets 12 points for getting the top collocate. Mary gets 7, and Louise scores a goose egg as brain did not show up.
Drop: top words - in, off, out, dead. Louise and Mary get 10 for getting in the top 10 words. Robin gets 0.
Opportunity: top words - have, given, given, take, equal, provide, offer, unique. Surprisingly 'job' did not show up at all, and neither did knocks. Robin gets 10 points for one in the top 10 words though.
Totals:
Robin - 22
Mary - 17
Louise - 10
disappointed about "knocks" - mostly cos it makes me feel very, very old :-(
