Day 4: Final competition round

Louise's lead was eaten into by Mary and Robin yesterday, can they keep it up? Robin really wants the iWoz book which could be up for grabs as a prize - can he score enough points to get it?

Words:
#1 - health
#2 - international
#3 - research

oooh, these are hard - also not sure how motivated I feel by the ever so sensible prize (though I do fancy reading it)...surely Vegas must be have tat available??

anyway - here goes
#1 - health...service (was tempted to go for care but that's all one word so I'm guessing doesn't count)
#2 - international...community
#3 - medical...research

*crosses fingers really hard* (ow!)

#1 - GOOD..health (hedging my bets and going for the opposite of mary's guess)

#2 - international..AIRPORT (where Brian will be later!)

#3 - FURTHER..research (appeared many times in my dissertation, hah)

Don't worry, I didn't actually say that was a prize, just that Robin wants it. There is tons of tat available as prizes too.

phew! that's a relief, hate for all my hard work to result in actual real knowledge :-)

Ok, here are the results for the final competition round:

health: top words - care, service, authority, mental, education, national. Louise, you should've gone for care! - Still service nets you 10 points. Robin gets 7 points for 'good', and 'poor' is worth 5 points for Mary.

international: top words - conference, community, amnesty, commerce, fund, credit
Louise gets another big 10 points (you're great at this). Airport is worth 8 for Robin. Mary gets 7 for organisation, coming in a few below airport.

research: top words - development, centre, cancer, shows, medical
Louise has another top 10 entry, earning a solid 10 points. 'Data' doesn't show up on the list, so Mary gets nothing. Robin scores 6 for 'further'

Total round points:
Louise - 30
Robin - 21
Mary - 12

Great round for Louise, securing her place as winner with three top ten entries. She's better than she thinks she is at this.
